Tandoori Seitan – Quick and Easy

You will love this Tandoori Seitan. The exotic flavors of tandoori are the perfect partner for plant based seitan. If you are looking for some different vegetarian options, give seitan a try. It is a wonderful carrier for the bold flavors of tandoori.

Perhaps you may be wondering what on earth is Seitan!? Seitan is growing in popularity as a meat substitute, similar to how you would use Tofu or Tempeh. The difference is, unlike Tofu and Tempeh, Seitan is made from gluten flour and when cooked looks and gives the same ‘mouth’ feel as meat.

This recipe uses a ready-made, shredded variety of seitan which has been made by layering seiten on itself and broken off into bite size pieces. The texture is reminiscent of a fillet of fish or chicken when cooked.
